Dr. Rachel Lyon, C.Psych

Psychologist and Clinical Lead, The Residence

Dr. Rachel Lyon is a Clinical Psychologist and a Registered Member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Ryerson University and completed her residency training at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in the Borderline Personality Disorder Clinic and Psychological Trauma Program. Before joining The Residence as a staff psychologist, Dr. Lyon worked within the Eating Disorders Program and was the Psychology Discipline Lead at Homewood Health Centre.

Dr. Lyon provides assessment and treatment services to adults experiencing a range of difficulties including anxiety disorders, trauma-related disorders, and emotion regulation difficulties. She has extensive experience working with young adults and individuals struggling with complex eating disorders and overeating behaviour. Dr. Lyon’s approach is collaborative and supportive. She uses an evidence-based approach to treatment, drawing from cognitive-behavioural therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy and motivational interviewing approaches to help clients reach their goals. In her role, Dr. Lyon will be supporting the interdisciplinary team and overall model of care at The Residence.
