Occupational Therapist, The Residence
Michelle is an Occupational Therapist, a profession that empowers people experiencing mental and physical health challenges to overcome barriers in their everyday lives so they may regain meaningful purpose and experience life again to the fullest.
She has been a respected team member with The Residence at Homewood since its inception in 2017. Her career has spanned nearly two decades with Homewood and encompassed both community and inpatient settings within the field of mental health and addiction (Assertive Community Treatment Team, Comprehensive Psychiatric Care Program, Program for Traumatic Stress Recovery, Veteran’s Affairs Canada). She is a compassionate and client-centred therapist focused on evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, Dialectic Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT for PTSD), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Michelle holds a Master’s of Science (in Occupational Therapy) degree from Western University, is a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists (OSOT) as well as a registrant in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO).
