Strength & Conditioning Coach, The Residence

Elite Level Certified Personal Trainer (E-CPT), Specialist Strength and Conditioning (SSC) and Certified Nutrition Coach (CNC) through ISSA and Precision Nutrition (PN1). As part of a multidisciplinary team, Chris provides –based personalized programming incorporating research-based outcomes for exercise, mental health, and Functional Movement / Capacity Screens. Chris has a holistic approach to exercise and draws on over 20 years of experience working with a wide range of clients, from professional athletes to individuals with various physical and mental health needs. Chris is a lifelong athlete and considers himself a student of the human body’s potential. He is an avid learner and has completed the following training to offer further specialized support:

  • FMS (Functional Movement Screen)
  • FCS (Functional Capacity Screen)
  • NCCP- Level 3
  • MMFT® (Mindfulness-Based Mind-Fitness Training)
  • The International Olympic committee- Sports Psychology, Sports Nutrition, Sports-Related Injuries and Coaching
  • The University of Michigan and Shift Concussion Management- Sports-Related concussion management
  • ShiftCM – Concussion management training
  • The University of Florida- The Science of Training Young Athletes

  • Chris has worked with the Cleveland Clinic, University of Guelph and McMaster University to research and publish the outcomes of his programming. Chris was featured in Toque Magazine for his work with his clients at the YMCA.

Chris has certifications in Yoga, Enabling Healthy Minds through Mental Health and Physical Activity, Group Strength, Group Cycle, Group Cardio, MOSSA Group Power, Aquatic Rehabilitation. Chris also has a Recreation and Leisure (Honours) and Physical Fitness diploma.
